Congratulations to Mrs. Brenda Evans, Ramey Teacher of the Year 2011-2012

When asked why I wanted to teach, my reply has always been, “Someone has to care.” I am yet that person who continues to care even after 33 years. I believe that each child must see themselves as a positive and special person that can move mountains and overcome any obstacle in their lives. My daily goal is to create an atmosphere where success is a must. It is my hope that I can continue to inspire a thirst for learning that lasts a lifetime.

Excellence is not an act but a habit. The things we do most are the things you will do the best.”

Parenting tips
Words you can use with your child everyday!
These phrases will help instill confidence, self-respect, and thoughtfulness in your child:
Thank you. It is important to acknowledge your child’s efforts to help you and others. You might say: “Thanks for taking out the trash” or “Thank you for helping your brother with his homework”.
Tell me more. These words will show that you are listening.
You can do it. It is important to let you child know that you have confidence in them and they have your support.
How can I help? Let your child know that you are available to help with homework.
Good job!  Celebrate accomplishments and success.
